Scheduled to make its maiden voyage June 9, 2022, Disney Wish promises many experiences unlike any other offered on previous ships. The thematic foundation of the architecture and theme of the fifth ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet is the concept of enchantment – the essence of many iconic Disney stories.

“Enchantment is about unlocking the wonder in everything we do and experience,” says Laura Cabo, portfolio creative executive, Walt Disney Imagineering. “For the Disney Wish, we are creating a signature design language that exudes this emotional magic like only Disney can, by infusing every inch of this enchanted ship with more Disney stories and characters than ever before.

Storytelling takes center stage on Wish with three new entertainment concepts. At the heart of the ship, the fairytale castle-inspired Grand Hall will include an atrium stage, the first ever aboard a Disney ship. The venue Luna boasts a celestial design complete with a two-story LED screen wall, a stage and ample seating. Programming here transforms from day to night. Families can take part in action-packed challenges and game show-style competitions in the Hero Zone.

Disney Wish provides sophisticated spaces for adults and, of course, ample areas for kids to get their play on. In the Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge, grown-ups can sample galactic concoctions while they planet hop. Its design is inspired by Dryden Vos’ space yacht in the movie Solo: A Star Wars Story. The upper deck’s Quiet Cove features a gourmet cafe, a blissful pool area, Senses Spa and a reimagined fitness center for the 18 and older crowd.

Younger cruisers will have plenty to keep them busy with exciting features like the 760-foot-long water coaster AquaMouse (double the length of the AquaDuck), the first-ever Disney attraction at sea. In addition to the AquaMouse, families will have more pools and deck space, as well as expanded dining in a spacious pool district themed to Mickey and friends.

There are even more fun venues out of the water. Kids can create and virtually ride their own roller coaster in the Imagineering Lab, young recruits can train to be a super hero in Marvel Super Hero Academy and Fairytale Hall provides three immersive rooms for young cruisers to interact with Disney princesses and Frozen queens.

Enhanced dining options on Disney Wish include three new family dining concepts. Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure treats guests to a Frozen theatrical experience during their meal. The menu showcases a modern family-friendly take on traditional flavors and ingredients from the Nordic region. Paying homage to the year The Walt Disney Company was founded, 1923 serves up an old Hollywood vibe featuring a California fusion of cultural flavors. An action-packed mission unfolds around you as you dine in Worlds of Marvel. The innovative menu features fare inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The spacious staterooms (1,254 total) are decked out in custom art inspired by Disney stories and characters and provide ample storage. New to Disney Wish are four two-story Royal Suites which boast a spiral staircase to the second floor.

The Disney Wish will offer 3- and 4-night sailings to Nassau, Bahamas and Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay from Port Canaveral, Florida.
